We Packet Pushers folks don’t get out much. We travel to a conference now and then. Maybe a tech meetup. But on the whole, we have so much to do each week that we stay connected to our productivity palaces–heads down while we research, lab, write, record, and keep the information flowing.
And then Gluware comes along, asking us if we want to try something different. Hmm. We’ve known Gluware for a long time, and been right there with them as they’ve evolved from a special-purpose automation tool for WANs into a full-blown, modular, closed-loop, multi-vendor automation platform that handles your entire network.
Never heard of Gluware before? Check out this presentation.
For me personally, Gluware has been a favorite in the network automation space as I’ve been able to map what they do and how they work to several different networks I’ve managed in the past. Gluware understands network operations and fully grasps that companies can’t re-build or replace their entire network just to add automation. Gluware fits into existing netops workflows well.
Live From New York–It’s The Packet Pushers!
So, would the Packet Pushers try something a little different with Gluware? Leave our productivity palaces and come to NYC to do a live event with them? Have grown up discussions about network automation and intent based networking with Gluware nerds and some of their customers? Why, yes. Yes, we would.
Join us for this live event in Times Square on May 14, 2019. We’ll be at the Executive Conference Center, 7th Floor, 1601 Broadway at 48th Street from 12:30pm to 5pm, and enjoying a reception from 5pm to 7pm. You need a ticket, because we can only get so many people through the door. So, please register.
What Will You Hear?
We’re still planning the day, but so far the agenda includes the following topics.
- Inventory management.
- Auditing for standards compliance.
- Automating NOS upgrades.
- Global QoS deployment.
- Managing config drift.
- Standardizing global netflow and SNMP configs.
- The Gluware API & Python.
- Integrating Gluware with ServiceNow.
We’re going to deliver all of this via a mix of talking and live demos.
Watch A Live Podcast Recording!
Towards the end of the afternoon portion of the event, we’re going to record a Heavy Networking episode from the stage with Gluware customers about their real-world network automation lessons learned. We’re hoping to get live questions from the crowd. So from you, in theory–as long as you’re in the room.
We hope to see you there!
